Laura Mercier Rouge Nouveau Weightless Lip Color ($24, Press Samples), a new launch from the brand for fall, is now part of the core collection and comes in 15 shades and three different finishes. The finishes include Sheer, Matte and Creme, and the names are color coded with the first alphabet of the finish!
The Sheer finish, is a light veil of color, with a semi matte finish. Creme has no shimmer/glitter and has just a touch of shine and the Matte finish is a velvety, weightless matte. All finishes feel light on the lips and have a super creamy texture. Even the sheer finish isn't all that sheer - it has enough color to brighten up the face and even out pigmented lips like mine. On to the colors, Sexy, is a sheer red with pink undertones (it appears a tad orange in my photos, but the swatch is close to how it looks on the lips), Malt is a matte brown with a touch of mauve and Chic is a bright, rosy pink. The colors I tried out are gorgeous, definitely wearable and the formula feels quite hydrating on my lips. The matte finish, while not extremely hydrating, doesn't dry out my lips even after a good 3-4 hours.
The packaging is simple and classy, like everything else from Laura Mercier is. If you are looking for an easy to use, weightless, creamy lipstick in a variety of finish and colors, the Rouge Nouveau Weightless Lip Color is definitely worth checking out!

i thought about getting one of these, but i think the colors are too similar to what i have :/ oh well!
