NUXE Reve de Miel Lip Balm ($19) is a rich, nourishing lip balm that helps condition dry, chapped lips. It has a blend of honey, shea butter and grapefruit essence to soothe and moisturize. Nuxe recommends using it on and around the lips for some much needed dry skin relief.
I love the mild citrusy scent of this lip balm. The soft airy texture works well on chapped lips, but it does take a while to sink in. Its not the most fast absorbing and forms a light veil, so I prefer using it during the night. It does a fabulous job of keeping my lips soft and hydrated and a little goes a long way. Its not too heavy for something ultra nourishing and is quite light and nice for summer. I'm hoping it would be good enough to use in the winter too when my lips are drier than ever. If you do use it under lipsticks though, be sure to give it enough time to sink in or just blot the top layer off. I would recommend using it on days when you aren't too particular about using other lip products over it - that's how I prefer it - more as a lip treatment than anything else.
Overall, its a tad expensive, but definitely better than some of those ridiculously priced Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments and Balms that have never done anything much for me. It has a lovely texture and some pretty nice ingredients to take care of dryness issues!
Have you tried the NUXE Reve de Miel Lip Balm?

ReplyDeleteOhh the shades don't show up that well on me :| At least the couple I've tried have just looked extremely super sheer. Do you like this one?
Deleteyeah i do! i sort of forgot about it till i saw your post, so I definitely have to use it again. Though I'm tired of balms in pots lol
DeleteI think they make one in a tube too, right? But I'm not sure if its the same one or a lighter version.. I want to try more of NUXE! :)
