Coral is a color I can wear all through the year! It is one of the most flattering shades for my skintone and a color I can never get tired of. I have quite a few polishes from the coral family that I love, but these are my top 5 that I almost, always reach for.
nails inc. Portobello ($9.50, Press Sample) - Portobello is a gorgeous, bright neon coral that looks fabulous against a summer tan. I love it on my toes! It dries matte, so a good topcoat is essential. The color screams summer and flatters quite a few skin tones.
wet n wild Megalast Nail Color in Heatwave ($1.99) - Heatwave has an awesome formula for a drugstore polish and a fantastic price tag. Its a red based coral with no shimmer/glitter. The lasting power is pretty good too and the color is gorgeous! The color is similar to Barielle's Straight A Coral, but the formula is a tad thinner and easier to work with. Check this post for more swatches.
Lancome Le Vernis in Peach Melodie ($15, Press Sample) - Peach Melodie was one of four polishes released as part of Lancome's Spring 'In Love' Collection. It is one of the most glossiest coral polishes I own that doesn't even need a top coat. I've worn it SO much in the past couple of months and absolutely love it. If I could use only one coral polish this summer, this would be it.
ZOYA Thandie ($8, Press Sample) - ZOYA is one of my favorite nail polish brands and their cream formula is excellent! Thandie is more of an orange that leans coral. It is bright, summery and fantastic for medium/dark skintones. Check this post for more photos & swatches.
ZOYA Willow ($8) - Willow is a soft, peachy coral that is work-safe, subtle and very sophisticated. It has fine silver shimmer that adds some dimension to the polish. Willow is quite glossy and wears really well. If you aren't a fan of brighter corals, this one is a safe choice that works on just about anyone. Check this post for a review!
