The packaging, like everything else from Burberry, is gorgeous. But I seem to be having bad luck with most of their compacts - there's a visible crack on the side which I din't notice until recently. I had the same problem with Mulberry and more recently with the Coral Pink blush too. The magnetic closure ensures it doesn't open and make a mess of while traveling. As for the color, Midnight Brown is a beautiful taupy brown that has very visible shimmer in the pan, which doesn't translate much onto the lids.

The shimmer is almost invisible after proper blending and the rich, dark color works on its own and pairs well with quite a few other neutrals. The texture feels buttery smooth to the touch, but gets a tad difficult to blend, especially over a primer. There's a tiny amount of fallout to deal with, but no major chunks of crazy pigment flying around. All that aside, Midnight Brown is definitely one must have, basic eye shadow color to own if you are looking for anything in the dark brown family to add to your collection. Absolutely love the color and how effortlessly easy it is to pull off.
Have you tried any of the Sheer Eye Shadows from Burberry? What do you think of Midnight Brown?
Your eyes look beautiful with this!
