BITE Beauty's Pastille Matte Crème Lipstick ($24), a new launch for spring, features four new shades of brights in a creamy, smooth, velvet-matte finish. These anti-aging lip colors are limited-edition and the shades are inspired by French Pastilles Candies.
I tried out Pastille Lavender, a sheer creamy lavender and Pastille Violet, a bright pinky violet. Both colors, although more pastel and bright in the tube, are very much wearable and easy to carry off. The texture is super creamy, very smooth and highly pigmented. One swipe is all you need to pack a lot of color and the formula is very buildable without being too heavy. The finish is more of a satin, semi-matte, so the lipstick isn't one bit drying. The Pastille Matte Crème Lipsticks also don't bleed as much as the Luminous Crème Lipsticks from BITE and last about 4 hours on me.
I prefer applying these with a brush, so the colors get sheered out just a tad. Pastille Lavender is a perfect, subtle way to wear pastel lips without looking too washed out, while Pastille Violet is a gorgeous summer color that adds a lovely, bright pop of color! There's nothing I don't like about these lipsticks or the super comfortable, moisturizing formula and just like BITE's other lip products, these too are free of Parabens, Synthetic Fragrances, Synthetic Dyes, Petrochemicals, Phthalates and have a high concentration of anti-oxidant-rich Resveratrol to help reduce appearance of fine lines and wrinkles!
Available at select Sephora stores and online at sephora.com.
