The L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil ($24) is a bath and shower gel, infused with the goodness of Sweet Almond & Grapeseed oil to pamper and moisturize dry skin. It is one of my favorite products for winter and a luxurious bath treat on days when my skin feels rather dry and stretchy.
The shower oil has a rather thin consistency, so using it with a loofah or a bath sponge is the best way to get most out of it. It foams up really well and washes off without leaving skin feeling greasy or oily. The smell is quite strong, but absolutely divine and luxurious. I was a little too skeptical about using a "shower oil" to cleanse, but to my surprise, it left me feeling really clean without drying skin out the least bit. I din't have to use a moisturizer for about 7-8 hours afterwards. I do have generally very dry skin on my body, so I needed light moisture at the end of the day. It is rather expensive and very easy to go through quickly, so I use it maybe once or twice a week or on days when I'm too lazy to slather on moisturizer after a shower.
Overall, the The L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil is a nice little luxury to have in your shower and something I will definitely re-purchase. I've also seen 16.9oz eco-refill packs which work out to be a little more economical than the 8.6oz bottles. I wish it was a tad cheaper just so I could use it everyday! It leaves my skin super soft, supple and extremely nourished!
