The Living proof "restore" shampoo & conditioner claim to repair, restore and nourish hair, giving it a healthy sheen and bounce. I love the Targeted Repair Cream from the"restore" line and the shampoo & conditioner are no exception. Although pricey, this duo is fantastic for keeping hair soft, manageable and improving the overall health of hair.
Living proof Restore Shampoo ($28) - The shampoo is sulphate-free & quite gentle on hair but, very effective especially if you have dry hair. It is quite concentrated and thick so, you only need a very small amount. It lathers pretty well and cleanses without stripping hair. Unlike a lot of moisturizing shampoos I've tried, this one doesn't cause a lot of product build up overtime but, I would still recommend using a clarifying shampoo once a week. If your hair isn't overly frizz-prone, you may not even need a conditioner since the shampoo is quite moisturizing by itself. I just apply a tiny amount of conditioner to my tips.
Living proof Restore Conditioner($28) - The conditioner has medium consistency, not too thick and isn't very slippery unlike a lot of silicone-based conditioners. The bottle design makes it quite difficult to get product out in the shower. When using it with the Restore Shampoo, I use a very little amount since the shampoo doesn't leave hair tangled and messy. But when used with other shampoos, you may need a little more of product since it doesn't de-tangle hair right away. Although it feels really light and doesn't weigh hair down, it still manages to deeply condition and lock in moisture.
Both the shampoo and conditioner have a very pleasant smell that I absolutely love. The shampoo is something I will definitely re-purchase once I run out. The conditioner will last a really long time, especially when used with the shampoo and is perfect if you don't like heavy, waxy conditioners that coat hair with product. The duo leaves hair looking fresh, bouncy and super healthy. I like to follow up with the Targeted Repair Cream but even on days when I skip, my hair still feels very nourished, less-frizzy and manageable!
Have you tried the Living proof Restore Shampoo & Conditioner?
