"Elemis Sp@Home is an exciting new bodycare concept bringing you spa results into your daily routine. This therapeutic bodycare range consists of five beautiful categories that deliver results whilst indulging the senses"
A couple of products from the Elemis Sp@Home range - Skin Nourishing Body Lotion ($40), a softly fragranced, thick, non-greasy body lotion for intense hyrdation and long lasting moisture. Frangipani Monoi Oil ($50) - A light-weight oil to be used after a shower, instead of a regular moisturizer. Fragranced with Coconut Coprah Oil and sweet scented Frangipani flowers, this oil smells delicious and moisturizies dry skin, hair and nails.
Skin Nourishing Body Lotion is a soothing body lotion meant for dry skin, a very good lotion to lock in moisture especially in winter. The lotion has a thick consistency but, spreads wonderfully and maintains a good moisture level. It is loaded with Shea butter and Milk protiens, both of which do a great job on dry skin. The fragrance is soft, not too overpowering but, not something I would really asscociate with a Spa. You only need a tiny amount since it is very rich. It is not greasy and pretty fast absorbing for a thick lotion.
Frangipani Monoi Oil is a strongly scented, body oil that also moisturizes hair and nails. I haven't tried this on my hair, but it is perfect if you suffer from dry skin and don't mind oils for moisturizing after a shower. The scent is quite strong, very spa-like and lingers for a while. I really like the delicate, floral scent of this one but, if you prefer unscented oils, this is something to keep in mind. Although it has a lighter texture compared to most oils, it does feel greasy initially and takes a while to completely absorb. Once it does, there's no oily residue or tacky feeling. Just be sure to give it some time to soak in and it keeps skin moisturized for hours together. Applying it on damp skin helps improve very dry skin and softens up rough spots like knees and elbows.
Overall, these two products from the Elemis Sp@home range are good, moisturizing body products that are best suited for dry skin, especially in winter. Although they do a good job, I do find them to be a little too expensive for what they do. I'm sure there are better priced lotions and oils that do the same job. These products, like most of them from Elemis, are a splurge and if you like luxurious, comforting products and don't mind the super high price tag, they are absolutely worth looking into. The oil especially is fantastic as I can see myself reaching for it so much more in the winter!
