The color goes on extremely sheer and since this particular shade is a little light, it looks more like a very slightly tinted balm on my lips. The packaging is something I just love. As for the texture, I find that it goes on smooth but if you have very dry lips, it also has tendency to enhance lip dryness. The staying power is about a couple of hours after which you need to re-apply to retain moisture.
Overall, the limited-edition Pivoine Délicate lipstick is more like a sheer balm so, be sure to use a gloss if you need more color. There's also a strong fragrance that I'm not too fond of. I like to use this more like a base for other lipsticks instead of a lip balm. If you are looking for a lot of color, this may not be it but, if sheer lipsticks interest you, this sure is a great pick!

The tube is gorgeous, but the color is kind of "meh" for $16.
