Zoya Surf Collection - Review, Photos & Swatches

Surf, Part 2 of Zoya's Summer 2012 Collection features foils and metallics. I like the colors of the Surf collection more than the ones in the Beach collection. The formula is easier to work with and they dry faster than the creams from the Beach collection.

L-R : Myrta, Rory, Carly, Kimber, Meg, Zuza

L-R :  Carly, Kimber, Zuza

L-R : Myrta, Rory, Meg

Carly - A deep, plummy purple with silver shimmer. Carly dries to a beautiful foil like finish. Lovely formula that dries super fast and applies so well.

Kimber - Bright reddish pink with gold shimmer. Kimber is probably one of my favourite shades from the Surf collection. It is perfect for summer and needed two coats for complete opacity.  The formula was a little on the thinner side and super nice to work with.

Meg - Light, shimmery green with a metallic finish. The formula was a little thick and a little difficult to work with.

Myrta - Bright orange with silver and pink shimmer. I love Myrta more on my toes. The formula needs three coats for complete coverage.

Rory - A gorgeous, metallic lotus pink. The color is amazing and the formula is just perfect. It needs a good top coat for some gloss though.

Zuza - Aquamarine foil with a nice metallic finish. The color has a nice sheen and looks very unique. I've never seen such a shade from Zoya before and it's really nice they made one just in time for spring and summer. Sadly, Zuza left a greenish stain on my nails even with a base coat on that took a couple of days to completely fade.

Overall, I like the formula and the colors of the Surf collection so much more than the Beach collection. Carly, Kimber and Rory are my favorites and have an amazing formula. The surf collection in general needed 2 coats to be completely opaque. The selection of shades is just fabulous and I like how Zoya included shades like Carly and Rory along with the other brights. A very well done collection that has something for everyone.
