The Escape to Paradise Palette ($19.99) is a new addition to Sonia Kashuk's spring 2012 collection. The limited edition palette comes with four neutral eye shadows, a shimmery peachy blush, a dark matte eye definer and three shimmery lip glosses. The palette also comes with a base to keep eye makeup in place.
The four eye shadows work really well to create a neutral eye. There is quite a bit of fall out from the shimmery shade. It is very glittery and needs a good base to adhere to. The eye base that comes along in the palette is a alright but, it doesn't hold eye shadows more than a couple of hours. The eye definer is a great way to add a little bit of smokiness along the lower lash line. If you have dark brows like me, it also doubles up as a great color to fill in your brows. With the exception of the shimmery eye shadow, everything else is nicely pigmented, blends very well with very less fallout. Since the colors are all matte, they go very well with the peachy pink blush that has quite a bit of shimmer.

The lip glosses that come in the palette are quite sticky and feel more like lipsticks but, they moisturize really well and last a good 3 hours on me without drying. The packaging is really pretty, very sleek and travel-friendly. The mirror is a nice size that comes in handy while doing touch ups.

DeleteThough I simply adore Sonia Kashuk's line, I didn't get this year's LE spring palette. I have last years and there's still plenty of it left. I agree about the lip gloss/stick/whatevers. I never seem to like lip products in a palette, but the shadows, liner and blush totally make it worth it! You look beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank You! There were some amazing palettes last year too! The Eye On Fall Color is something I still get so much use out of :)
