Rimmel's Spring Collection features five new shades of the Lasting Finish Lipsticks, created by Kate Moss. The prices range from $4.49 to $5.99 depending on where you buy them from. Like the other lasting finish lipsticks, these too have a semi-matte finish and a slight sweet scent. The colors are quite pigmented and go on smooth, provided you don't have overly dry/chapped lips. A good lip balm makes the job easier and keeps the color looking moist.
01 - A deep brick Red - Gorgeous, opaque red that goes on smooth as satin. This one did feel slightly more moisturizing than the other two. One of the must-have shades from this range.
14 - A sheer nude - This one felt a little dry and also went on a little patchy on my lips. With a lip balm, it wore slightly better. The color looks pretty nice in the tube but, tends to wash me out big time. Not something I would recommend if you have very pigmented lips.
08 - A dusty Rose - A safe, everyday shade with a slight mauve undertone. Something that needs very less effort and looks really nice worn by itself or with a gloss over.It goes on a little more pink than how it looks on the tube.
These lipsticks can be quite drying when worn alone but, they also tend to last longer. I get about 6 hours of wear time from them. Shade number 01 lasts even longer and leaves a berry stain before fading. A shade or two is worth a pick up but, keep in mind that they can be quite drying and tend to enhance flaky lips even more. Nothing a good lip balm and a little prep work can't fix.

I have 12 and 14, and I really like both colors. I find that these don't last as long as I'd like, but I'm still quite happy with them.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you like 14! It washes me out like anything. Maybe I should use it as a base for nude lipsticks :)
