AVON Extra Lasting Lipgloss - Review, Photos & Swatches

AVON Extra Lasting Lipgloss($9) is a long-wearing, high shine lipgloss that claims to moisturize and make color last for upto 8 hours. The shade range is very wearable with most of the glosses being shimmery.


The formula feels comfortable, quite sticky and the gloss goes on very smooth. Because they are shimmery, they work great over any lipstick. Worn alone, they are very moisturizing too but tend to leave a little shimmer behind while fading. The sponge tip applicator deposits color evenly. 'Forever Diamond' is a basic clear, shimmery gloss that works well over any lipstick. 'Continuous Copper' is a shimmery, light copper that looks great worn alone or over a lipstick. These glosses have a very strong fragrance which I'm not very fond of.

I'm not sure of the whole 8 hour thing. They last a good 4-5 hours, which is still not bad and feel like a slightly thicker version of the MAC dazzleglasses for almost half the price!

    Forever diamond looks nice and good to put on over any lipstick and it will shine.I like to wear clear gloss over my lipstick,a little shimmer is fine!

    Yeah, I like it over a lipstick too. Not so much on its own :)

    As I quote from someone "it has to be sticky, so it will stay on and last long." Yes, they're sticky, but not too sticky. I actually like them a lot. I ordered an Eternal Rose and LOVE it! Now I'm ordering Everlasting Petal, Constantly Corral, Endless watermelon AND another ETERNAL ROSE! Lol! I too had got the samples but I didn't even try them. I just waited till I got my tube. I did try the Constant Coral. And I was shocked! I didn't think it would look good on me! It looks AWESOME! As for their other Lip Glosses I'm sold on is the Smooth minerals and the Glazewear. I love Avon's lip glosses. They're 1 of a kind!
