The Hydro Grip 12-Hour Hydrating Gel Skin Tint ($36; sephora.com) is a new launch from Milk Makeup. It's a super lightweight gel based hydrating skin tint that comes in 15 shades. Its a clean formula, infused with hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and blue agave extract and has medium coverage and a dewy finish that looks very natural. I tried the shades 7 and 8 and while both blend in seamlessly, 8 is more of a closer match for me. Since the formula is buildable and the coverage is medium, but not too sheer, I can get away with both 7 and 8. I like the shade selection and the very forgiving formula that doesn't enhance skin texture or larger pores. I use a foundation brush to blend this out, but fingers work well too. While I always do set with powder, I can get away without using one for this since my skin is on the drier side and I enjoy the dewiness of the formula without feeling too greasy or tacky. If you are looking for an everyday tint, especially for the warmer months and prefer a lightweight base with a bit more coverage than a tinted moisturizer, this is perfect!
