The Essence Of Dreams Fragrance Collection is a new collection featuring five new fragrances from Tory Burch. I tried Mystic Geranium ($29- $125; shop.nordstrom.com) and Cosmic Wood ($29- $12;5 shop.nordstrom.com) from the collection and absolutely love them as year round fragrances. Cosmic Wood is a soft floral with notes of Cardamom, Ambrette, Jasmine, Sage and Vetiver.Its a unique, earthy floral with subtle sweet notes. The opening is mostly floral with a touch of the cardamom. The Jasmine and the woody notes come out as the fragrance settles down. The Jasmine isn’t heady and keeps the fragrance fresh and light. The vetiver lingers through he dry down, but is subtle and not so strong. Mystic Geranium is another fresh woody floral with notes of Bergamot, Geranium, Lotus, Cedarwood and Musk. This is a fragrance where I could get whiffs of every note described. The opening is floral, not too heady and feels refreshingly fresh with the Bergamot and Geranium being the dominant notes. The Cedarwood and Musk soften the fragrance as it settles down and linger through dry down. Both Mystic Geranium and Cosmic Wood have average longevity even on hot and humid days. They also make for fabulous gifts and the Essence Of Dreams also comes in a few holiday sets exclusive to Nordstrom. I love the Discovery Set ($65; shop.nordstrom.com) and the Travel Purse Spray ($50; shop.nordstrom.com) sets in particular.
