Sicily Eau de Parfum ($310 - $495; Saks Fifth Avenue stores and saksfifthavenue.com) is new from Dolce & Gabbana and the newest addition to their fragrance line. Sicily is a gorgeous citrusy floral with notes of Sicilian Bergamot Essence, Honeysuckle, Black Rose, Grasse Jasmine Absolute, Heliotrope, Sandalwood and Musk. The opening is quite heady, very powdery and fresh. The citrus notes from the Bergamot mix in with the Honeysuckle and Jasmine to create a beautiful opening note. The dry down brings out a lot of the creamy Musk, Sandalwood and quite a bit of the Black Rose. Its one of the more long wearing fragrances from Dolce & Gabbana that I’ve tried and also one that I can wear all though the year. I absolutely love the design and packaging of Dolce & Gabbana Fragrances in general and this one is no exception. Overall, a fabulous year round fragrance and perfect if you like a sophisticated citrusy floral that also makes for a luxurious holiday gift.
