I’v been testing out a few great hair tools recently and here are some quick thoughts. I don’t change up my styling tools too often and try to stick to what I have and love and I also am not the quickest learner when it comes to hair tools, but these were all quite easy to get the hang of.
The Beachwaver Co. Coast Pro Ceramic ($169; beachwaver.com) is a fabulous hair tool if you have short hair and love wavy styles. It comes with a custom attachment that can be added or removed to create soft waves & a smooth, sleek finish while the ceramic floating plates control most flyways. The product itself has a little bit of a weight to it, but it still is easy to use, quite quick to heat up (280°-450° F) and has a generous 9ft swivel cord.
The InfinitiPro by Conair 2-in-1 Styler ($79.99; target.com) is a two in one stainless steel styler that can be use for both straight and curly styles. The outer barrel heats unto 265°F for styling curls, while the device itself heats upto 400° F. It is a quick heating iron and has an auto-off function. It is fairly easy to use and does a great job with straitening and curling. I do wish that the outer barrel did not heat up so much just so its a little easier to style or at least that it came with a heat resistant glove since the buttons are on the side as well. There are two removable silicone cool tips though that help. That apart, its a great tool for the price and is not too heavy.
The Pro Beauty Tools Professional 24K Gold 1 Inch Curling Iron ($29.99; target.com) features a gold barrel and heats unto 430°F uniformly so curls look very natural and more wavy than curly, which I love. Its very easy to use, not too heavy and works great on fine, frizzy hair. It can take a bit of time to heat up though, which isn’t necessarily a problem for me, but just something to keep in mind. I love this one when I want bouncy, voluminous waves.
