Elie Saab’s newest fragrance launch is Le Parfum Resort Collection Eau de Toilette ($98; shop.nordstrom.com; saks.com; bloomingdales.com) , a limited edition, spring summer edition and a lighter, fruity floral version of the classic Le Parfum. Resort features notes of Mandarin, Fig, Jasmine, Orange Blossom, Frangipani, Cedar and Amber. The blue ombre bottle is gorgeous, much like most Elie Saab fragrance bottles.
Resort is a perfect summer fragrance, the opening is light and fresh with the Mandarin, Fig, Jasmine and Orange Blossom being the most prominent ones. Its not heady, but packs a light citrus punch with a dash of fruitiness from the Fig. I love Fig based scents, especially from summer though fall, and if you do, Resort is definitely one to look into. The dry down is very creamy, lightly musky with the fruity floral notes lingering throughout. It is quite different from the other versions of Le Parfum I’ve tried so far, maybe a tad similar to last year’s Le Parfum L'Eau Couture , but this is a little stronger and has better longevity. Overall, a very exotic, beautiful, sweet fruity floral for this season that is absolutely worth checking out!
