Rimmel Stay Glossy 6-Hour Lipgloss - Review, Photos & Swatches

Rimmel Stay Glossy 6H Lipglosses are a new launch, part of Rimmel's fall 2011 collection, already available in stores now. They are priced really well at $4.99 and come in 24 shades!

What I have here is 'All Night Long', a pinky plum with a good amount of silver shimmer and 'Eternal Pink' a medium pink with very subtle shimmer. Eternal Pink is more sheer than All Night Long and works well on top of any lipstick rather than by itself. If you have pigmented lips, it looks almost like a very sheer wash of pink. All Night Long is quite pigmented, but not totally opaque. Works great by itself especially on medium skin tones.

The wand is a lean, sponge tip applicator that deposits color evenly. As far as the texture goes, it's super smooth and the shimmer does not feel chunky at all. The finish is super shiny and very glossy. However, they do have a sweet smell that may be something to keep in mind since it is quite strong and stays on for a few minutes after applying. As far as the staying power goes, I get 2-3 hours when worn alone & maybe an hour longer on top of a lipstick after which I need to re-apply. Considering the not so sticky texture, I'm not surprised they don't last for 6 whole hours. Other than that, they are really light-weight, moisturizing and wear comfortably without drying my lips. Worth a haul especially considering the nice array of shades and the wonderful price tag!

    Look really pretty! I wish Eternal Pink were as pigmented as in the tube! I want that pink! :D

    I just bought my first Rimmel Stay Glossy lipgloss in color #340 called Captivate, last night. I LOVE IT! It is super smooth and creamy yet not sticky. (I hate sticky lipgloss.) In addition, you do not feel the shimmer particles scratching against your lips like some glosses.) I found it at WalMart for $3.98. Will definitely go back for more colors!
